Meet Our Team Staff
Rachael Barr feels extremely fortunate to have such a talented group of coaches on her staff, including: Lindy Franzini-Carpenter, Vinicio Leira, Sonia Leira, Rob Peterson, Karen Williams, Gail Royce, Jim Royce, Laura Lasswell, Dominique Green and Kristen Teubner
Rachael Barr - Owner
Rachael Barr is the owner of CGI and is involved with all the programs offered at CGI. Rachel has a BS in Sports Medicine from Bary University in South Florida. Rachel has been a certified gymnastics instructor since 1996
Lindy Franzini
Lindy is the former owner of CGI and the head beam coach. Lindy was a two-time national competitor from the University of Northern Colorado. Lindy was also a nationally rated judge for ten years and served as a United States Gymnastics Federation and Women's Judging Association board member.
Vinicio Leira
Vinicio is our head coach. He is a former competitor and native of Caracas, Venezuela. Vinicio's experience includes working with the Venezuelan Women's National Program before coming to the U.S. Vinicio joined CGI in 1992.
Sonia Leira
Sonia is a former competitor for the University of Northern Colorado and graduated with a degree in exercise physiology and nutrition. In addition to coaching, she choreographs floor exercise and balance beam routines for Levels 7-10. Sonia joined CGI in 2000.
Rob Peterson
Rob works with our boys recreational and girls team programs. Rob has been coaching gymnastics for over 26 years. He is also involved with the Special Olympics as a coach and judge for over 15 years. Rob joined CGI in 2003.
Karen Williams
Karen is our recreational director and public relations coordinator. Karen has been coaching gymnastics for over 13 years. Karen works with our preschool and team programs. Karen joined CGI in 2006.
Gail Royce
Gail is our mental skills training training coach. Gail is the fromer owner and head coach of High Country Gymnastics.
Jim Royce
Jim is the former owner and head coach of High Country Gymnastics. Jim coached several athletes to the national and international level.
Laura Lasswell
Laura is a former competitor of CGI. Laura graduated from the University of Denver with a BA in business marketing and a Masters degree in education. She teaches preschool, recreational and team classes.
Dominique Green
Dominique is a former competitor of CGI. Dominique teaches our preschool, recreational, pre-team and Level 4 classes.
Kristin Teubner
Kristen is a current Level 10 competitor for CGI. Kristen teaches our preschool, recreational and pre-team classes.
